Mobile robot naming & marketing contest for the newly released robot by Hyundai Robotics 

The “2019 R-BIZ (Robot-Business, Idea, Zest) Challenge,” a robot commercialization idea contest that pursues to discover business ideas and marketing strategies by utilizing domestically developed robot parts and products, was held at Daegu EXCO for two days from November 7 to 8, 2019.
 
Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Daegu Metropolitan City and co-organized by Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, Korea Association of Robot Industry, this challenge covered five categories in total including △ Hyundai Robotics Robot Marketing Contest, △ Zeus Industrial Robot ZERO Mission Challenge, △ Robotics Open Manipulator Challenge, △ RoboThree Open Platform Autonomous Driving Control Mission Challenge, and △ RoboLink Coderon Autonomous Driving Cooperative Mission.
 
The underpinning purpose of Hyundai Robotics Robot Marketing Contest lies in obtaining an accurate understanding of the market available for its mobile robot to be launched in December and in finding out measures to boost its sales in the new market with pertaining ideas and marketing strategies.
This is to work on the brand naming of the mobile robot for effective promotion and perform the mission of exploring and expanding the area mobile robot can be used.
In this category, the HYMEC team from Hanyang University (Song Ji-yu, Oh Min-young Oh, Jeong Seok-hoon) that gave a presentation on the “Assistant Robot for Fashion Shop Aiming at SARO-Fashion Outlets” won the first prize and received the Minister’s Award from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy and 3 million KRW prize money.
Cho Young-hoon, the Director of the co-organizer of the event - Korea Association of Robot Industry, attended the closing ceremony and said, "The R-BIZ Challenge Competition in its fifth year was held with an emphasis on the collaboration robot, a new trendsetter among the manufacturing robots and the autonomous transport robots with the remarkable recent popularity in the service robot sector. This event has brought the possible realization of the slogan, ‘“the future where humans and robots come together” to life by proposing ideas on how robots could be used not only in the industrial sites but also in the service sector.”
