On December 5, 2019, Kia Motors held an opening ceremony at the India Plant located in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Kia Motors India Plant is a state-of-the-art finished car manufacturing plant with a maximum annual production capacity of 300,000 units built on a total area of 2.16 million ㎡. With the 100% factory water recycling system and more than 450 robot automation facilities, it is equipped with all kinds of smart technologies like the smart-tag auto-recognition system for different vehicle types and specifications to ensure more efficient facility operations, while the robot monitoring system in the painting plant is capable of detecting facility abnormalities in early stages.

Hyundai Robotics received the order to supply the system and robot for car manufacturing in the new plant in Kia Motors India, in turn key-base. The significance of this order can be found in a larger proportion of the system in it.

Aside from Kia Motors, Hyundai Robotics has launched a fully-fledged sales marketing in the Indian market as it receives the orders and delivering the robots, including automation facilities, to the automobile manufacturing lines as well as the construction equipment in HMI (Hyundai Motor India).

In 2018, the robot repair service center was set up in Chennai, India, to offer on-call services day and night for robot automation and repair service. The repair service center has 116 types of spare parts, including the controllers, and it makes regular visits to the Indian clients for checkups and VOCs.
Hyundai Robotics intends to keep on differentiated services in all stages of sales so as to back up the Indian market expansion.
