Hyundai Robotics’ Lecturer Kim Dong-jo Selected as 2019 Korea’s New Intellectual

Pioneering the path of educating robot technology
In selecting the new intellectual for the second half of 2019 organized by the Korea Association of New Intellectuals, lecturer Kim Dong-jo, who is in charge of education in our training center, was selected as the new intellectual in the education sector.
The awardees are selected among those who have greatly contributed to the development of 24 sectors from creating innovation and new values in the ways of working with creative thinking and ideas and sharing the knowledge information, which is the key in Industry 4.0. Kim was selected as the new intellectual in the education sector with the topic “Pioneering the Path of Robot Technology Education at Home and Abroad.” He had gone through application screening, on-site observation, and main observation.

He was the first one to be selected as the new intellectual among the workers in the robot sector in Korea.
On December 13, 2019, the certification ceremony was held with the participation of congresspersons from the ruling and the opposition parties and 450 new intellectuals at the National Assembly Grand Hall located in Yeoido, Seoul. Engineer Head Kim said, “I had dedicated my life in the robot sector for 30 years and continuously made the efforts and came up with new ideas, and all of this made me stand here today. And, I promise that my effort will continue in the future as well.”
During his 19-year career as a lecturer, Kim trained 10,700 employees in Korea, 385 students, and 820 foreigners from 28 countries, making a significant contribution to robot teaching education.
