Hyundai Robotics: "We will do our best to develop the talent to innovate robotics and realize a city that will lead the robotics industry."

The Hyundai Robotics Joint Training Center conducted its first training for 16 students in the "Hustar" robotics program, a project to foster innovative talent in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, for four days starting on August 11.

The “Hustar Project” is an employment model in which the Daegu city government and Gyeongsangbuk-do provincial government lead a consortium of industrial, academic, research, and government institutions to foster innovative talent, meet corporate demand in future new growth industries, and retain talent in the region.

The training curriculum is revamped to meet the needs of ICT companies, including those in robotics, and is attended by third and fourth-year university students for two years. In the case of robotics, Kyungpook National University was selected to carry out the program, and 160 students will take the Hyundai Robotics curriculum from this year to 2023.

Hyundai Robotics is the leading robotics company in Daegu, which aims to become a leading city in the robotics industry, and is actively participating in a multitude of programs in their steering committees, curriculum development committees, and field training.

According to a Hyundai Robotics representative, “We look forward to a virtuous cycle in which companies develop innovative talent that meets corporate demand and leads corporate growth by settling in the region.”
