Hyundai Robotics signs an MOU for industrial-academic cooperation with Ulsan College

Hyundai Robotics and Ulsan College to strive to cultivate key talents for smart factories!


Hyundai Robotics, the number one industrial robot company in Korea, and Ulsan College signed an MOU for industrial-academic cooperation and held a donation ceremony pertinent to the use of academic and industrial resources on the 2nd floor of the Administrative Building of Ulsan College’s Dongbu Campus on November 6.
 
The purpose of this agreement is to develop the robotics industry, which is a new growth engine for the future, and strengthen local talent capabilities.
 
This MOU will foster cooperation and exchange between Ulsan College and Hyundai Robotics in various fields, including △ jointly developing academic content, △ activating industrial-academic cooperative education, △ collaborating on the employment of graduates to ensure an excellent workforce for industrial enterprises, △ joint technology development and research projects for industrial-academic cooperation, △ joint use of industrial-academic facilities and equipment, and △ joint promotion of industrial-academic cooperation projects.
 
Hyundai Robotics also donated to Ulsan College an unmanned processing system with 20 robots installed on a 14m chain conveyor. This equipment, which is part of the smart factory system, comes equipped with a small high-speed handling robot (HH7) that performs assembly, handling, and inspection with vision technology.
 
After this industrial-academic cooperation MOU, Ulsan College plans to build a training center customized for companies. The 397 ㎡ (120-pyeong) training center will be on the first floor of the Engineering Building located in the Seobu Campus of Ulsan College, and the facility will include robots and equipments for education and training in automation.
